okay so.

i went out to the hospital pharmacy.

they thought i had a perscription as in 'a piece of paper' as opposed to 'i've filled a perscription before and it's still got refills on it but the pharmacy's not open right now'. they attempt to page my rheumatologist. my rheumatologist is not on call. i wait for the service's on-call person, another doctor in the practice, for an hour.

HE COMPLETELY FAILS TO ANSWER OR CALL BACK THE FUCKING PHARMACY. I WOULD HAVE MY PILLS NOW IF HE HAD JUST GOT OFF HIS BUTT. 'ON CALL' MEANS THAT YOU HAVE TO, YOU KNOW, ACTUALLY CALL.

yes, i said 'now.' i am actually fine. i went to the ER: it was a very pleasant experience. (no, really!) there were very few people in there. they wrote me a scrip for six pills i can fill tomorrow - my insurance won't pay still because they won't open until monday. if i have medical problems i can go back there tonight or call the tardis mobile medicine.

seaners is still v. unwell. called the tardis mobile medicine for that as well; they think it might be flu, which means it's undoubtedly of Baconic origin given the state of Seattle at the moment. poor kid. argh. Don't know what that means for me. He does have a habit of pulling off rather miraculous recoveries so i'm not writing it off 100% just now but in his current state i'm not going to leave him. (this is not an 'i'm a bad mother thing. this is a 'personal beliefs' thing. he's really bad, for him.)
